Express Yourself!
In so much of my Spiritual work there is talk and work to cultivate a of feeling gratitude within, and that is very powerful, but what about expressing gratitude outwardly? We should be open about our feelings of gratitude. When I was growing up the practice of writing thank you notes was very prevalent. Now, with the advent of e-communications, that practice seems to have fallen by the wayside. It’s sad to me.
If I want change it’s up to me. So today I personally commit myself to being much better about writing notes of gratitude, and sending them via the mail service. A handwritten note is so nice to receive, isn’t it?
I don’t need to have received a gift to express my gratitude, either. I can send notes unexpectedly to people in my life for whom I have gratitude in my heart. The person to whom I write may have no idea of the impact they’ve had in my life — so why not let them know. It makes me feel great, it makes them feel great, and joy abounds!
Express gratitude! You (and everyone you thank) will be glad you did! We, collectively, can make the world a much better place. Let’s start today with this one thing!
I am grateful to you!
