The Root of the Root

TODAY’S READING:

Take a moment to look around you. What do you see? It doesn’t matter where you are. Are you home? In a coffee shop? Driving the car? If you are driving the car—please put this down for now and focus on driving.

But, really, what do you see? Are the things familiar or not? Are there unfamiliar things among familiar things? Do you see anything you’ve never noticed before?

When we talk about consciousness, we align it with awareness. The more aware we are the more opportunity we have to fine tune adjustments in our lives. This is how we make our lives better. To do that, we have to become aware, look at what is around us, what is happening.

As you look, start to think about what is answering the questions I’ve posed about what you see. Do you recognize it as you? Is it that voice within? From where does that voice originate?

Now consider the energy behind that voice? How does it perceive and recognize? It is beyond language, yet it can understand, intelligently, and make determinations about what is all around.

The more we deepen into that which is back of the voice, and back of the energy, and back of whatever comes next, the more we find the Infinite Source. It is a wellspring of understanding, this Infinite Source, and from it all experience in our lives unfolds.

That Infinite Source is the core of us. Our being-ness, our thoughts, our actions, our lives and loves, all of it is sourced in the Infinite. So we ARE that source.

So what is it you see?

Here’s my answer: God.
