Curves Ahead

“I have always believed, and I still believe, that whatever good or bad fortune may come our way we can always give it meaning and transform it into something of value.”

-Hermann Hesse

Are you hard on yourself? Do you find yourself internally beating yourself up for things that you feel you should have done better? Are you willing to rethink that?

I have found freedom! That freedom is in allowing myself to let go of the expectations for a desired outcomes in so many circumstances. Essentially it is allowing myself to straighten out my learning curve.

We all have a learning curve for everything that is new in our lives. Sometimes it feels like we live in a world where the expectation is to bring a depth of knowledge to the table that is not feasible until we’ve immersed ourselves in the new… and embodied it. So we beat ourselves up. Well, in the words of Bob Newhart on MadTV, “STOP IT” (Watch the video below). In my work I am frequently telling people to let themselves off the hook. Isn’t it time?

Whatever is happening for you is able to be utilized by you and you have deciding power over how you respond to it.

So make a decision today to straighten out your learning curve, and transform everything in your life’s experience to being of value! It’s up to you!
